The Environmentally Friendly Ski Area
- Our snowmaking system was installed using a directional drill system, which meant limited ground disturbance (pictured below)
- Our snowmaking system uses only high pressure water. This means that the only power used is to run our pump. Other areas use sonw cannons which must also use electricity to run the compressors. Our electrical consumption is minimal.
- We have grass slopes which take a lot less snow to cover than a rocky slope. in fact, last year we did not make snow and had fabulous conditions!
- Our cafeteria is dedicated to using recycled paper products instead of styrofoam.
- We are part of CWSAA’s Anti Idling program.
